As you may have noticed, some tracks from bands like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin or Die Toten Hosen are not accessible on-demand anymore. Please know that we are not responsible for this, some labels with whom we have agreements, do not have the necessary authorization to broadcast their songs on Deezer (what happens to Deezer also happens to other websites offering music-on-demand).
We’re sorry for this situation but we’re doing our best to obtain the right to broadcast those artists again, so that you can listen to them for free and legally!
Why aren’t the tracks following up each other?
There are a lot of people asking us why, when you’re trying to listen to all the songs from the same artist, the tracks are not following up each other; In order to make you discover new artists and to browse new musical universes, we’re offering you (by subscribing easily and for free) to create your playlists and to listen to all your favourite songs and to also get back this functionality of having the songs following up each other.
Well now that you know... well you know.
Stay Tuned!!
Paul (yeah no P&P from now on, the poor fella's back to school)

Hello
Buddies,
The Deezer Team tour continues with the presentation of our web designers,
Jacinthe and Hortense (yeah, they’re chicks, don’t ruin your pants ok? ; don’t
worry girls, the hot boys of the team are coming next, even though we know you
like us best, right?)
Anyhow here
is Jacinthe, hard to pronounce? I know…Make it sound kind of like “ Jah Saint”
(even if we know that she’s far from being one…), her nickname is Jazdrek and
she’s 24, her favourite quote is “Instability is necessary to progress. If you
stay where you are, you’re going back”, it’s from Coluche, a French humorist.
Her favourite artist is Vitalic even though her favourite song is “Coté Punk”
from Loïc Lantoine. We asked her for something unusual about and she answered
there were many, and I must admit she’s quite right, we could talk about her
deep love for Sponge Bob, the way she fancies Rayman, oh and her last purchase:
A talking and dancing“Wall-E” robot.
Still wondering whether or not she a real geek?
And here is
Hortense, she’s the latest intern to join the Deezer adventure and we’re glad
for that. Her nickname on the website is Zorstens, she’s 20 and also is a
web-designer, her favourite quote is “Look for the bare necessities” from the
Lion King. Her favourite artist is Bob “Jah love” Marley and the song she likes
the most is “les champs de rose” from Danakil. When she was 10, her sister
offered her to go to a Bob Marley concert, she was very happy until she...
We’ll let the smartest of you figure out why, leave a comment if you’ve found
the reason why. The first one to find the answer gets a piece o’candy. Oh yeah,
and there’s another mistake hidden in the text, we already know it still we
won’t fix it, cause life’s unfair ^^ !

Aloha!
Some days ago, we started the
presentation of the Deezer Team! After the Country Managers, today we’re
glad to present you the Developers of the Team! Here…we…go!
First, there’s Stephanie, aka
Footeuz! She’s 23… hmm well, that’s what she said! She tried to fool us but we
know you have to reverse the digits to get the real number (Funny eh? No? You
sure?)! She’s a PHP developer, and she’s responsible for the musical catalogues
integration! Her favourite quote? “I’ve been told that, to record a CD, you
need to sleep with the producer. Just think of what the guy who produced Sim
looked like!” (it’s from Coluche, a French humorist). Her favourite song is “Le
silence est d’or” from Blankass. Something incredible that happened to her?
Well, SHE says there are many…
(just kidding, we love you, you know that) For example, someday as she passed
in front of the Olympia (a famous concert place), where a soccer trophy
ceremony was given, three players went out of it, and gave her their bracelets so
she could get in!What happened is that she
was the only girl in the middle of all the first and second division of French
football (Cissé, Pauletta, Ramé, Müller, Boli, Galthié,
Laporte, Guerin etc...)… a miracle for the football fan she is, while dozens of
fans were waiting outside with their cameras trying to spy on the event!
SirConan (the poor little fella didn’t dare to provide his real name) is
28, he’s a flashman (in other terms: a flash developer)! He’s responsible for
the flash interface of Deezer. His favourite quote ? Hem… You’d better not know
it…(and FYI it was "IYA"..., only the geeks can understand...!) His song he likes the most is "Paint It Black" from the Rolling Stones… When
we asked him about something unusual about him, here’s what he answered:
“Mairie de Montreuil to Rue Menier in exaaaaactly 17 minutes, at 9 in the
morning, during the week, on my (former) Honda Hornet 600! And guess what… I
could have done better…” It’s like a 45 minute drive normally… Legal Disclaimer
: No one was hurt during the event, it was done on a closed road, do not try this
at home. (Geez, who would be stupid enough to use a motorbike inside a house
anyway??!!)(Oh yeah and we lied about the road being closed, doing that was
just dumb.)
Loïc is 26, he’s a flash developer too! His favourite quote is “I’ll
give you an advice: NEVER drink alcohol while driving, you could spill some and
it would be wasted!”. His favourite song is "Exo-Politics" from Muse. Something
funny (to me at least…) happened to him, one day after a heavy night in a local
bar, his best friend took him home, after climbing up the stairs with him to be
sure he safely got home, she asked for his keys and he gave her the keys of his
cars, swearing that the keys of his car and his home were the same and that if
it didn’t work it meant that she was drunk as well. The point of the story?
Telling you that drinking too much is bad (that night he had drunk the enormous
amount of… a half pint…) and that it leads to trouble! You have been warned.
La Globule is 29, he’s a PHP developer too, his favourite quote is “More
than 8000” (You don’t get it??? We don’t neither…). His favourite song is “The
way U R” from Soel! A useless fact about him? “Useless ;-)” did he mention,
he’s the kind of guy you don’t want to mess with so we didn’t ask for more… But
if some of the chicks out there in front their computers want to find out more
about this man, send us a mail and we’ll transfer it to him… No, just kidding.
Jonathan is 21, he’s also a PHP developer. And… well that’s it! As you
may have noticed, he’s the most talky person of our team… TRUE STORY (I’m sorry
for all the fans waiting out there, but he’s not really good whenit comes to talking about himself, but he’s
good at PHP and that’s why he’s part of the team so we’ll excuse him for that short
presentation, for the moment…
That’s all for today ladies and gentlemen, we’ll be back after the break
(This is the part when you click on the ads on the website so that we earn money,
we can’t do that for you ;-)!

Hey everyone!
Now that we have brand new blogs, it’s time
for us to present you the Deezer Team! Since we are more than 25, we are not
going to do this for everyone today! But right here, right now, comes the
presentation of the team we belong to:the Country Managers! Check this out!
Angeline, aKa N.J., is 20 year-old. She’s a Country
Manager for Germany.Her favourite quote
is "Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after
that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are
free « (she borrowed it to Jim Morrison!). Her favourite song is “Doo Wop” from
Lauryn Hill. Something unusual about her? She has been stuck for an hour with 4
other members of the Deezer Team (including Paul & Paul!) in an elevator
made for 2 people.
Fanny is 21, and she’s the Country Manager for
Italy. Her quote? “It's
not about how you fall. It's about how you land” (taken from the movie “La
Haine”). Her favourite song is “Hey Mama” from the Black Eyed Peas (la la la
la, la la…!). When we asked her about an unusual fact, she just answered she
spent 20 minutes answering the previous questions… Thank you Fanny!
Paul, aKa “Daddy”, or Denver (the last
Dinosaur, awesome cartoon), is the first administrator of this UK blog! He’s 20
and he’s, as you can guess, a Country Manager for the UK! His favourite quote?
“A dumb guy walking goes further than a smart one sitting!”
His favourite song is “Rien à te mettre” from Renaud. And when asked about some
unusual fact, he answered he already woke up among sheeps in an Irish meadow
because he was too drunk to walk home!!!
Paul, aKa Paul #2 or Polo, is the second
Country Manager UK, and the second administrator of this blog! He’s 21, and he
likes to say that “The dumbass ratio is the same everywhere”. His favourite
song is from Muse, “Muscle Museum”, and… he just said he never managed to find
a haircut that would fit him in 21 years! You can see that!
That’s it for now! Soon you’ll discover some other
members of the Deezer team.Stay tuned
and don’t forget to wash your hands before dinner!

UPDATE
Hey guys!
After publishing the first part of
our team presentation, we noticed that we hadn't specified what Country
Managers’ tasks were! So, here is a quick sum-up of what we, country managers,
do inside the Deezer Team:
-We
are in charge of customer relationships in the zone we take care of. Each time
you send an e-mail to the support, you comment our blog or our board, or each
time you desperately need a hug, we are here to answer you!
-We
translate everything from French to English.
-We
contribute to the adaptation of the editorial website content to the English
speakers!
-Eventually,
we are in charge of search engine optimization and partnerships!
That’s it! Next team presentation
step is coming, introducing developers!
Hey fellas (and chicks too ;)), here's a little (but cool) improvement to our website:
Did you ever experience this, you're sitting in front of your computer, browsing Deezer, listening to the tunes you've always enjoyed, and then it comes up to your brain : "What was the name of that song John told me about, it was something like Su... Oh damn it! Sub... Ah Emm no, Sug... $@*!/# " and there comes the keyboard flying through the room. Well now you can forget about this because we've added a new feature called "Predictive Search", from now on when you'll start typing the first letters of what you're looking for, Deezer will automatically make suggestions regarding to the possible entry you might be looking for and will also tell you how many results you'll get with each possible entry. Cool isn't it? Well we think it is ;-). Anyways we hope that you'll appreciate this little improvement, let us know what you think of it by posting a comment below.
Talk to you soon folks,
P&P
For the ones wondering "What the heck is he talking about???!!!" Here's a quick shot of what it looks like:
