Sajjad Ali, born on August 24, 1966, in Lahore, Pakistan, is a Pakistani singer. He studied at the National Arts College in Karachi and received classical music training from his uncle Tassaduq Hussain. He began performing at a young age, appearing on Pakistan Television's children's music program and later on the classical music program Raag Rang at the age of fourteen. In 1993, his song "Baby Aa" caused a stir in the music world. He became known for popular songs and albums including Babiya, Chief Saab, Abhi Mode Nahi and Sohni Lagdi. He also worked in films as an actor and director, including Love Letter, Munda Tera Deewana and Ek Aur Love Story. His light-style ghazal singing brought a new color to the genre, while his song "Din Parsana Hai" from the film Bol became popular. He has also served as a judge on the Pakistani and Indian music competition program Sur Kshetra. On March 23, 2019, the Government of Pakistan awarded him the Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his outstanding singing. His music has gained popularity in Pakistan as well as India, Britain, and America.
