Jesus Piece is a metalcore group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, formed in 2015. The band initially consisted of Aaron Heard on vocals, David Updike and John DiStefano on guitars, Anthony Marinaro on bass, and Luis Aponte on drums. They released a self-produced demo in 2015, followed by their officially titled EP Jesus Piece in 2016 and the Summer '16 Promo EP in the summer of 2016. In 2017, they collaborated with Malice at the Palace for a split EP released by Bridge Nine Records. Jesus Piece signed with Southern Lord Records in 2018 and released their debut album Only Self, which received positive reviews for its punishing sound. The group toured extensively, supporting acts such as Code Orange and Ghostemane. Their second studio album, ...So Unknown, was released on April 14, 2023, via Century Media Records. A notable single from this period includes "Tunnel Vision" and "Silver Lining".
