FRONTIERER are known for an unrelenting, uncompromising brand of sonic punishment.
Formed as a two-person bedroom project by Scottish guitarist and primary songwriter Pedram Valiani and American vocalist Chad Kapper, the band has grown into a touring force completed by bassist Iain MacLeod, guitarist Dan Stevenson and drummer Luke Coursey.
Since their live debut at UK Tech Metal Festival in 2016, FRONTIERER have twice appeared in Rolling Stone’s Best Metal Albums, with releases ranked #14 and #17. They have supported Converge and Better Lovers, appeared at Resurrection Festival and Damnation Festival, shared the stage with The Dillinger Escape Plan, and will tour the UK and Ireland with Car Bomb in November 2026.
Bandcamp Daily’s A History of Mathcore described their sound as a “venomous brand of future-punk well worth exploring,” while The Needle Drop drew further attention to the ferocious EP The Skull Burned Wearing Hell Like a Life Vest as the Night Wept. That was followed by Orange Mathematics (Redux), a remixed and remastered tenth-anniversary edition of their acclaimed debut.
Now, more than a decade after their first release, FRONTIERER return with Ultraviolet Parasite, their fourth full-length and most fully realised statement yet. Violence, precision, electronic abrasion, rhythmic contortion and sensory overload are sharpened into a more immediate and infectious form, balancing the chaos that defines FRONTIERER with greater focus, production and replay value.
