The Procussions, an American hip hop group from Colorado Springs, formed in 1998. The original lineup included Mr. J. Medeiros, Stro (the 89th Key) Elliot, Rez, Vise Versa, and Qq. Their early breakthrough came with the singles "All That It Takes" and "Leave Her Alone", released by ABB Records. In 2003, after moving to Los Angeles, The Procussions released their debut album ...As Iron Sharpens Iron, which reached number 5 on the CMJ Hip-Hop chart. They followed this with the EP Up All Night and the album 5 Sparrows For 2 Cents. The latter was published by Rawkus Records in 2006, reaching number 8 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. In 2012, Mr. J. Medeiros and Stro Elliot reunited for a show in Colorado, leading to the release of an album and EP both titled The Procussions.
