Of Algerian and Guadeloupean descent, Ÿend grounds her Afro-diasporic sonic heritage in the hip-hop and house culture she embraced during her youth in Mulhouse and the French Caribbean.
After releasing her EP YEKRIK in 2023, Ÿend was named Grand Est winner of the Buzz Booster in 2024 and went on to win the Rappeuses en Liberté springboard the same year. She has also performed at major festivals such as Europavox (France) and Les Ardentes (Belgium).
Ÿend released barbès and attention last year, two singles that were very well received by her audience, the media, and industry professionals (Dose Rap, Spotify’s Le Miel playlist, Deezer’s On Fleek, etc.).
In 2025, she appeared on the mixtape Moonshine SMS for Location, Vol. 6.5, on the track “La Haine” a batida-inspired song alongside Angolan artist NegoO.
Her new EP, la dame du fond, is due to release on May 11th.
