Autostrad is a Jordanian indie rock band formed in Amman in 2007. The original lineup consisted of Avo Demerjian, Bashar Hamdan, Hamzeh Arnaout, Wisam Qatawneh, Yazan Al Rousan, and Burhan Al Ali. Their sound blends reggae, Latin, and funk with lyrics in the Jordanian dialect, focusing on daily life and social struggles. The group has released four studio albums: Fi Autostrad (2008), Autostrad 2011 (2011), Nitrogen (2013), and Turtathy (Inward Expansion) (2017). Notable singles include “Habeetak Bel Turki” and “Orkod 3al Gym”. In 2013, Arnaout and Qatawneh left the group, with Yazan Sarayrah and Mohannad Shwayat joining. The band performed in London in 2014 and appeared on the television programs Al Bernameg and Ro'ya TV. They also participated in RedBull SoundClash events. Demerjian, Hamdan, Al Rousan, and Al Ali remain in the lineup.
