As one-fifth of multiplatinum a cappella phenomenon Pentatonix, Kevin Olusola encompasses a true combination of vocal prowess, songwriting, beat-boxing, cello-playing, and producing. His signature solo sound reimagines classical musicianship through a modern sonic and lyrical lens while balancing his dynamic background of Nigerian and Grenadian heritage.
Kevin’s talents were widely recognized in 2011 when he posted a viral video playing cello and beatboxing simultaneously to “Julie-O” by Mark Summer. Not only did it lead to the creation of Pentatonix, but his artistry has been recognized by Yo-Yo Ma, Hans Zimmer, and Quincy Jones, and at iconic performance venues such as Carnegie Hall, TED, and the Montreux Jazz Festival. Kevin has released The Renegade EP [2015] which debuted #1 on the Billboard Traditional Classical and Classical Crossover charts, The Triptyq Sessions EP [2016], and Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood EP [2020], as well as fan-favorite singles and collaborations.
Kevin writes: “My purpose is to spread love far and wide with the unique frequency I’ve been given. I want to shatter boundaries, only to bring all of the pieces back together with a newfound harmony. I hope my music makes you feel comfortable in who you are and the love you want to portray to the world.”
