Dakh Daughters is a Ukrainian freak-cabaret group formed in 2012 by actresses of the DAKH Theatre in Kyiv. An electrifying blend of theater, folklore, and powerful female energy defines their performances. The artists play multiple instruments and sing in various languages, reinterpreting the impact of words by fusing classicaand contemporary poetry with music and theatrical elements.
Song lyrics draw inspiration from the works of prominent Ukrainian poets and authors from across the globe, incorporate fragments of iconic past hits, and also feature their own insightful reflections.
Dakh Daughters have gained international recognition for their captivating theatrical and musical performances at events such as KEXP, globalFEST, Avignon Festival, WOMAD, and numerous others.
