Godskill, a German black/death metal band from Heilbronn, was formed in 2011 by colleagues Timo Schütz, Thomas "Berni" Bernhardt, Wolfgang Baumann, and Uwe Schwaderer. They initially focused on classic old-school death metal of the 90s, incorporating elements from black metal. In 2013, they released their first EP History of Blessed Killings. Baumann left in October 2014 and was replaced by Carsten Quadel. Godskill's debut album I: The Forthcoming was released in 2016, followed by The Gatherer of Fear and Blood in 2018. In 2023, the band released their third studio album III: Nazarene Sickness. Carsten Quadel left in April 2024 and was replaced by Henrik Jorgensen.
