Scalpture, a German death metal band from Bielefeld, was formed in 2009 by singer Thorsten Pieper and guitarist Felix Marbach. The initial lineup featured bassist Anselm Heise and drummer Max Caillourd. In 2010, the band released the demo Born into Battle. In 2015, Scalpture released the EP Border Crossing and performed at the Out and Loud festival. Tobias Aselmann joined as a second guitarist in 2016, the same year the debut album, Panzerdoktrin, was released via Final Gate Records. Moritz Menke replaced Caillourd on drums in 2016. Following Heise's death in 2017, Niklas Neuwöhner became the bassist in 2019. The second album, Eisenzeit, arrived in 2020 through FDA Records. It was a concept work centered on the First World War, reflecting Pieper’s history studies. Moritz Nixdorf took over drumming duties in 2020. The band subsequently released Feldwärts in 2022 and Landkrieg in 2025.
