Koungasan is a music producer, originally from France, who is now based in Montreal, Canada. His music seamlessly blends Chillhop and Downtempo Lofi, creating a captivating sound that transports listeners to a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Growing up in a household where various genres, including Electronica, Hip Hop, Afro Caribbean, Rock, Jazz, and Cuban Salsa, were frequently played, Koungasan was also inspired by Japanese culture, which led him to adopt his stage name.
Being constantly involved in the Hip Hop scene as a dancer, it was ultimately the pandemic which gave him the time to follow his passion. Inspired by Kupla, Koungasan strives to create an artistic universe that is authentic and unique.
Koungasan has released 24 tracks on major streaming platforms and collaborated with numerous artists worldwide (like HariboY, ZARG and Shane Houghtaling ) as well as lofi labels Kanimayo, Waveesound and Cvlavera Records on unique tracks.
