Trelldom, a Norwegian black metal band from Sunnfjord, formed in 1992. The group's early collaborations included members from Taake, Gaahlskagg, and Sigfader. Trelldom released their debut album Til evighet... in 1995, followed by Til et annet... in 1999. Recording of their third album, Til minne..., began in 2001 but faced delays due to technical issues and the imprisonment of lead vocalist Gaahl. The album was eventually released in 2007. Trelldom's music is characterized by its deeply personal lyrics, some written in Old Norse, and their albums were designed as a nine-part cycle exploring themes related to the soul.
