Majid Entezami (born March 9, 1948, in Tehran) is an Iranian composer, conductor, and oboist. The son of actor Ezzatolah Entezami, he studied at the Conservatory of Tehran and in Berlin. Returning to Iran in 1974, Entezami directed the Tehran Symphony Orchestra and taught at the University of Tehran. His career is defined by scores for films such as Tornado (1985), The Cyclist (1988), Train (1988), Once Upon a Time, Cinema (1991), Attack on H-3 (1994), and A Moment of Innocence (1995). His music for The Glass Agency (1997) earned him the Crystal Simorgh award for Best Film Music at the International Fajr Film Festival. Other significant works include the score for The Fateful Day (1994) and symphonies such as “The Symphony of the Epic of Khorramshar” (1982).
