Sergey Anatolievitch Kuryokhin, born on June 16, 1954, in Mourmansk, RSFSR, USSR, was a Soviet and Russian avant-garde musician, composer, screenwriter, and actor. In the early 1970s, Kuryokhin moved to Leningrad where he met poet Arkady Dragomochtchenko, who introduced him to the city's bohemian scene. He started participating in improvisational music concerts and played keyboards for the group Post, which performed covers of Western rock stars. His breakthrough came in 1981 when Boris Grebenchtchikov invited him to play keyboards on Aquarium's album Triangle. This collaboration led to regular performances with Aquarium and the formation of his own project, Crazy Music Orchestra, which later evolved into Pop-Mekhanika. Kuryokhin passed away on July 9, 1996, at the age of 42.
