Texas Is the Reason, an American post-hardcore band, was formed in 1994 by Norman Brannon and Chris Daly. The group initially consisted of Brannon on guitar, Daly on drums, Scott Winegard on bass, and Garrett Klahn as guitarist and vocalist. Their debut self-titled EP, released in 1995, marked their breakthrough, followed by a split single with Samuel. In 1996, they released their only full-length album, Do You Know Who You Are?, produced by J.Robbins of Jawbox and released on Revelation Records. The band gained the attention of major labels but disbanded in 1997 after a European tour due to internal tensions. Texas Is the Reason reunited briefly in 2006 for two shows at New York City's Irving Plaza and again from 2012 to 2013 for tours and performances, including a final reunion show at London’s Electric Ballroom in August 2013.
