Sir Charles G has a story to tell and through verses and rhymes, he’s letting people in to his world one song at a time.
The Dallas, Texas native only defines himself through his music. Music he describes as gangsta rap intended to motivate the masses. And in an industry where individuality is celebrated, Sir Charles G says the fact that he raps what he lives makes him different versus rappers who talk about lifestyles they have never even experienced.
Coming from a troubled childhood, he found himself homeless and even serving a stint in prison. It’s those experiences that have shaped not only his music, but also the man behind the mic. After eight years in prison, Sir Charles G pressed forward with pursuing his dreams and he hopes that his resiliency and perseverance inspires others that come from a similar background to do the same--- continue on.
Rapping provides Sir Charles G a way to speak his mind and say what he normally wouldn’t otherwise discuss. Those listening to his music have a direct gateway to him through his creative lens. Staying true to his Dallas roots, Sir Charles G hopes to give a new perspective to not only the Dallas rap scene but also music far beyond his backyard.
Quotes:
“I have a story that is true with no fabrications--- a story that a lot of rappers rap about without having to travel along those roads in which I have traveled."
