Jomo Michael Rochester aka "El Jamaiquino" or simply "Quino" is a Bilingual Dancehall, Reggae and Reggaeton Artist that hails from Kingston, Jamaica. Having no prior interest in music, he left Jamaica in 2014 to live with his mother in the British Virgin Islands. Upon arriving he quickly noticed the large Dominican community present within the Islands and became fascinated by the language they spoke (Spanish).
He began to learn the language just out of curiosity, and was soon exposed to Reggaeton for the first time. After hearing a song from Puerto Rican Superstar "Farruko" entitled "Cositas Que Hacíamos" he immediately became inspired by the similarity that the Reggaeton genre shared with the native Dancehall genre that he had always been accustomed to listening in his home Jamaica.
From that moment on he has been pursuing the odd and seemingly farfetched idea of becoming a prominent bilingual artist both on the Jamaican, and Latin American scene. He currently resides in Jamaica and is working assiduously to become one of the top names in the music industry with producers such as Sly & Robbie and Small Axe Music Productions. He is definitely one to look out for in the Dancehall, Reggae, and Latin American Markets in years to come.
