Loman is the one-man project of French-Japanese artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist Romain YAMAUCHI.
Elegantly combining graceful melancholic piano layers, textured beats and lightly saturated jazzmaster with his voice, whether crystalline or suave and bewitching, Loman outlines a cinematically atmospheric electro-pop landscape.
Influenced as much by the sophisticated, dark electronic sounds of Apparat and Jon Hopkins as by the subtle, ethereal poetry of Ryuichi Sakamoto, Loman unfolds an intense universe colored by spleen and deep mystery.
As a total performer, Loman combines his minimalist, surrealistic illustrations with his music to create a strong artistic identity.
After the release of his first EP "Night Time" (2021), widely acclaimed by the critics (Libération, Tsugi, Radio France...), Loman first won the "Inouis du Printemps de Bourges" springboard competition in 2022, and then released 3 new singles, arousing the growing interest of the press and music industry professionals.
In winter 2022, Loman is confirmed at "Bars en Trans", then spotted by electro producer Vitalic, who invites him to join the prestigious roster of his label Citizen Records / Clivage Music (Kompromat, Mondkopf, Arnaud Rebotini, Poltergeist...).
On February 8, 2024, Loman released his new EP "Nocturnal Animals", a 6-track album of great artistic maturity, including the single Start Again and a remix of this track by Vitalic. Loman is currently touring all the major clubs and venues in the east of France, and will be opening for Irene Dresel (Live Nation) at Le Bikini in Toulouse after having celebrated the release of the EP in the presence of fans and music professionals on March 05 at FGO Barbara in Paris.
