just singing about the world I made up in my mind, dont mind me
Hey, it's Jeanna! For as long as I can remember I've loved music, singing, listening, watching other artists performing their own songs, hoping I could do exactly that one day too. At the beginning of 2018, when someone pushed me on the stage at the end of a very fun evening to sing a few songs, this journey of writing and performing my own music started. At first it was just a way to clear my head and write down everything I was thinking. Out of those thoughts and feelings came my first three songs, 'I'm Sorry', 'Falling', and 'Not Again', all bundled into the EP called 'The First Chapter'. However, when the COVID lockdown started, I began to fall in love with the detail of writing and starting to look at other artists' lyricism, starting to analyse their lyrics, understanding them and learning from them. I began to love writing my feelings and everything that went on in my head as a form of art. Lockdown was actually one of the main reasons for this newfound love for writing. During most of 2020 I was personally going through a hard time, not really seeing my friends, staying at home for days on end. Isolation started to creep up on me and I started creating my own world in my head to escape from reality. From these new perspectives and thoughts I eventually wrote a song about this exact feeling, called 3 AM. I'm really excited to take you on this journey with me and for you to hear all the crazy things that went through my head during this past year!
