Ocho Macho, a Hungarian pop band formed in Kőszeg, Hungary in 2003, was founded by percussionist Krisztián Tompa with the intention of creating a party band. The group initially played covers but soon began writing original compositions. Their unique blend of reggae, ska, Latin, and punk, dubbed "huppogás," gained traction in Western Hungary and adjacent regions of Austria. In 2007, they released a maxi CD with three songs, leading to their debut album El Mundo Fantástico in 2008, which was reissued by CLS Music in 2009. By 2010, Ocho Macho became frequent performers at festivals and clubs, with their music featured on Austrian public radio ORF. Notable releases include the maxi single "Pancho (Bum-Bum)" in 2010, performed at Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu Stadium to honor Ferenc Puskás, and the album Online a Világ (2011).
