Freija, a Finnish folk music group, was formed in 2005. The band initially gained recognition through their performances at various festivals, clubs, and concert halls across Finland. Throughout their career, Freija has released several notable albums, including Lempilauluja in 2006, Kiekkumaralla in 2007, and SydänJuurilla in 2011. Their music features a blend of traditional Finnish folk songs and original compositions, often characterized by their distinctive multi-voiced singing. In addition to their adult-oriented folk music, Freija has developed a program specifically for children, which includes albums like Tämän kylän lapsii (2013) and Liki (2015). This program has been published on CDs, books, and various compilations.
