Amplifier is a British rock ensemble from Manchester established in 1999. Group consists of vocalist and guitarist Sel Balamir and drummer Matt Brobin. They initially toured in the United Kingdom and recorded demo tapes before signing with label Music for Nations in 2002. Their recording career began with debut eponymous studio recording Amplifier (2004), which was re-released in 2005 on label SPV. The ensemble released studio recording Insider (2006) followed by double studio recording The Octopus (2011). Amplifier reached wider visibility with studio recording Echo Street (2013), which reached number 90 on German Albums Chart. Their discography included studio recording Mystoria (2014), which reached number 97 in United Kingdom, and studio recording Trippin' with Dr. Faustus (2017). The ensemble released studio recording Hologram (2023) and studio recording Gargantuan (2025).
