From the idea of ''make it your own'', singer/songwriter Jesse Couwenberg (1990) from Tilburg started making music, in which he has drawn inspiration from Blues, Soul, Pop and Rock, to express his love for music. The combination of these styles brings Jesse to Alternative Rock. Although Jesse grew up in a musical family, he did not turn to playing instruments and producing music until later in life. This has allowed Jesse to express his ideas about growing up, love, friendship, nature and the future.
In a new series of singles, all part of 'The Sessions Of The Circle', Jesse presents his music on the bigger stage for the first time. In April 2023, he kicks off with the release 'The World In Smoke'. When writing songs, Jesse is always looking for narrative lyrics and full arrangements, in which laid-back passages alternate with driving guitar solos and urgent backing vocals.
Even at a young age, Jesse developed a broad taste in music. Artists who have influenced his current musical works are: The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Lenny Kravitz, Steve Miller Band, Jackson Browne and Bruce Hornsby. In addition to his solo career, Jesse is lead vocalist with reggae band Hall of Reggae. Having been inspired by many styles of music, his quest, to create in different genres, is still ongoing.
