Stavesacre is an American rock band from Huntington Beach, California. The group initially consisted of vocalist Mark Salomon and guitarist Jeff Bellew, who had previously played together in the Crucified. After recruiting bassist Dirk Lemmenes and drummer Jeremy Moffett, they signed to Tooth & Nail Records and released their debut album Friction in 1996. Following the departure of Moffett, Sam West joined as the new drummer, and Ryan Dennee became a second guitarist. Their third studio album, Speakeasy, was released in 1999 and debuted at number 44 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Chart. After releasing several more albums and EPs, including How To Live With a Curse in 2006 through Abacus Recordings, Stavesacre announced their disbandment in 2007. However, after a period of inactivity, they resumed activity in 2014 and released their sixth studio album, MCMXCV, in 2017.
