DIZTEN is the new project and alter ego of singer and songwriter Eric Dietz. The songs are best discribed as Alternative Pop. Even though that sounds like a combination of two opposite genres, it’s all about that intriguing midfield that lies between them. The poppy productions are kept unpolished to save the rough edges. Influenced by legendary bands like The Cure and U2 DIZTEN brings the 80s and 90s into the now.
Prior to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, Eric's former band WARE served as the supporting act for China Crisis, while their debut single 'Electric' received recognition on Spotify's New Alternative Playlist for an impressive 20 weeks.
Through DIZTEN, he aims to explore his position as a songwriter and producer, pushing himself to evolve further in these roles. More songs are in the making and the EP is set for release by the end of this summer.
