Shameboy is the one-man project of Luuk Cox, born on August 3, 1972, in Kerkrade, Limburg, a Belgian, Dutch-born multi-instrumentalist, music producer, musician, and songwriter. Initially, Shameboy was a duo with Belgian DJ Jimmy Dewit, inspired by Kraftwerk and Chemical Brothers. Their first releases included the singles "Rechoque" (2005) and "Splend It" (2007), along with the EPs Strobot and Wired For Sound, both released in 2006. The duo's debut album, Hi, Lo And In Between, followed later that year. Dewit left Shameboy in 2010, after which Dominik Friede joined for live performances. Luuk Cox continued his prolific career as a producer and songwriter, collaborating with artists such as Stromae, Loic Nottet, and Racoon.
