Lumsk is a Norwegian folk metal band from Trondheim. The group combines traditional Norwegian folk music and folklore with rock, progressive rock, and metal, featuring both male and female vocals alongside violin, guitar, and drums. Lumsk released their EP titled Åsmund Frægdegjevar in 2001. The band's debut album with the same name was released in 2003 under Tabu Recordings. In 2005, Lumsk released their second album, Troll. Their third full-length album, Det Vilde Kor, was released in 2007 and incorporated music to poems by Knut Hamsun. In 2023, Lumsk released Fremmede Toner under Dark Essence Records.
