Blood of Kingu was a Ukrainian black metal band formed in 2005 by Roman Saenko, who was also involved with Drudkh and Hate Forest. The band's lyrical themes drew from Sumero-Akkadian and Indo-European mythology and history, featuring vocals that included death growls and Tibetan chants. Blood of Kingu released their debut album De Occulta Philosophia in 2007, which was later re-released with alternate packaging. Their second album, Sun in the House of the Scorpion, followed in 2010 under Candlelight Records. The band's final release, Dark Star on the Right Horn of the Crescent Moon, came out in 2014. Blood of Kingu disbanded in 2016.
