Cinematic metal from the edge of ash, myth and low-tuned ruin.
Wildcard Campfire is a faceless cinematic heavy music project where low-tuned riffs, haunting melodies and towering choruses carry stories of survival. Built from fire, ash and storm-light, its world gives a voice to what pressure, grief and fear leave buried.
Blending melodic metal, progressive structures and atmospheric heavy rock with the scale of a film score, the music moves between crushing weight and fragile stillness. Riffs drive the conflict; melodies carry the scars.
The project is written and creatively directed by Rom Burla, a guitarist, songwriter, composer, arranger and harsh vocalist. He writes the riffs, melodies and lyrics, shapes the structures and arrangements, and guides the musical and creative vision behind Wildcard Campfire.
The debut album Where God Grew Tired opens a world shared by every song in its era. Across different ages, conflicts and lives, each track reveals another voice, memory or moment in that world's history. These stories reach across time, inviting listeners to piece together the lives and consequences that connect them.
From the weight of A Hymn for the Unburied to the chaos of Make It Pop and the aftermath of The Lowest Point, Wildcard Campfire makes heavy music for voices pushed beneath fear, grief and silence, but never erased.
The fire has caught. Enter the world of Where God Grew Tired.
