Kosmikud, an Estonian alternative rock group, was founded in 1999. The band's initial lineup included Taavi Pedriks on vocals, Aleksander Vana on guitar, Raivo Rätte on bass, and Kristo Rajasaare on drums. Their debut album, Ei roosid, was released in 2000 following Pedriks' death. The remaining members took a hiatus to rehearse and find a new singer, ultimately choosing Meelis Hainsoo, who joined the band in 2003. Kosmikud's second album, Kuidas tuli pimedus..., was released in 2003 and explored themes of love, death, and depression. Notable releases include Pulmad ja matused (2006) and Ainus, mis jääb, on beat (2008). Bassist Raivo Rätte died in July 2018. In 2025, Kosmikud won Rock Album of the Year at the Estonian Music Awards with their album Surm Lõuna-Saksamaal (2024).
