Bilal Khan is a Pakistani musician and actor born in 1986 in Lahore. He developed an interest in music during his youth and learned to play the guitar through articles on the internet. While studying politics and economics at Lahore University of Management Sciences, Khan released the single “Bachana” on YouTube. The track earned him the awards for Best Singer and Best Song from Pakistan FM 103 in 2010. He issued his debut studio album, Umeed, in 2009. His recording history included the songs “Tou Kia Hua” and “Lamha”, which he performed on the fourth season of the program Coke Studio Pakistan. In 2012, Umeed was nominated for Best Album at the 11th Lux Style Awards. Khan subsequently began an acting career and appeared in television dramas including Sammi and Khamoshi. He later attended a master’s program at Virginia Commonwealth University.
