XXI is an American Christian metal band from Carrollton, Kentucky, formed in 2010 under the name A Feast for Kings. The original lineup consisted of lead vocalist Eric Gentry, background vocalist and guitarist Seth Weigand, guitarist Jamie King, bassist Robbie Barnett, and drummer Carson Butcher. The group's debut EP, Hell on Earth, released on April 17, 2014, preceded the death of Gentry on May 18, 2014, after which the band changed its name to XXI to honor his age of 21. Following Gentry's death, Butcher took over on lead vocals, and the band released its debut studio album, Inside Out, through Tooth & Nail Records on September 18, 2015. The album peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart and number 19 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
