David Jacques is a guitarist from Saint-Georges de Beauce, Quebec, specializing in classical and early music. Born in 1978, he holds a doctorate in early music performance and has contributed to approximately 50 recordings, primarily of classical repertoire. An accomplished international performer, Jacques has given more than 4,000 concerts in 40 countries across five continents and has appeared as a guest soloist with ensembles including Les Violons du Roy, the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestre Métropolitain. His solo albums 14 Guitar Stories (2020) and 15 Guitar Stories Vol. II (2021) explore historic guitars and their associated repertoire. Jacques has taught classical guitar and lute at Cégep de Sainte-Foy and Université Laval and maintains a collection of rare historical instruments.
