Mike McKenzie (he/him) is a BBC award winning singer-songwriter and producer based in Edinburgh, Scotland often compared to Maggie Rogers, Tom Odell, Ben Howard, Noah Kahan and Tom Misch.
McKenzie’s laid back, inclusive shows have proved a smash with audiences around the UK and beyond. Touring has seen him perform at iconic venues across the UK including King Tut’s and TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow, Queens Hall in Edinburgh, Green Note in London, The Drawing Room in Chesham and several SoFar Sounds shows including co-curating a SoFar Edinburgh PRIDE event and playing to a sold out crowd in Paris.
His music has received huge support from Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2, Grant Stott, Roddy Hart and Janice Forsyth on BBC Radio Scotland, Jim Gellatly on Amazing Radio and Ruth Clark at RTÉ among other stations across the UK.
McKenzie also featured on multiple other releases including Black Lilys, Eve Simpson and Haquin as well as the lead vocalist for collaborative trio PJ Moore & Co alongside PJ Moore (The Blue Nile) and award winning composer Malcolm Lindsay.
