Raphael Rogiński, born in 1977 in Frankfurt am Main, is a Polish guitarist, composer, performer, and improviser. Raised by Jewish emigrants from Poland who left their homeland due to anti-Semitic policies of 1968 and later returned to Poland where he received training in classical music, jazz, and ethnomusicology, Rogiński's career includes collaborations with numerous artists and groups, such as Mikołaj Trzaska and Macio Moretti in the trio Shofar, and Wacław Zimpel and Michael Zerang on Yemen: Music of Yemenite Jews (2012). His discography featured notable albums like Bach Bleach (2009), Plays John Coltrane and Langston Hughes African Mystic Music (2015) and Plays Henry Purcell (2017).
