Omega Diatribe, a Hungarian metal band from Budapest, was formed in 2008 by Gergő Hájer on guitar and Ákos Szathmáry on bass. The group began performing live in 2012 and gained traction through intense live shows. Their debut album Iapetus was released in 2013, featuring ten tracks recorded at their own 515 Studio. In 2014, the band split with drummer Dávid Metzger and collaborated with American drummer Kevin Talley on new material. Their EP Abstract Ritual was released in February 2015 and later issued in the US in September 2015 via Independent Ear Records, including a remixed bonus track by Hungarian electro artist dOTS. Omega Diatribe released the single "Contrist" in 2016. The band gained further international recognition with their third studio album Trinity in 2018 under Metal Scrap Records, co-produced by Tue Madsen, winning 'Best Live Band' and 'Best Album of the Year' at the Hungarian Metal Awards. In 2020, they released their fourth studio record Metanoia, mastered by Swedish producer Jens Bogren.
