Thom Artway, born Tomáš Maček on June 27, 1993, in Vlachovice, is a Czech singer, guitarist, and songwriter blending modern sounds with classic folk influences. A two-time Anděl Award winner, he began his musical journey in his hometown, playing in local bands. After completing a technical high school, he moved to Prague, where he honed his skills in singing, guitar playing, and performing in English through street performances, particularly on Kampa Island. In 2013, he traveled to Ireland to work on a farm, where he started composing instrumental pieces, completing them upon his return to the Czech Republic. He officially launched his music career after returning and released his first tracks. In 2015, he combined his passion for music and travel, embarking on a five-month journey across Australia and New Zealand, where he performed as a street musician. His discography includes the debut EP Still Standing in the Unknown (2013) and the albums Hedgehog (2016), All I Know (2018), and Trhám mraky (2024). Thom Artway has twice won the Anděl Award.
