In line with electronic legends like Erik Satie, Jean-Michel Jarre, Air, Daft Punk or Justice, French 79 is a true master of the synth and an incredible songwriter. Having acquired over 180 concerts around the Globe for his last tour, Simon Henner quickly became an ambassador for Marseille’s electronic scene—a territory he had already stepped into with the various projects of Husbands, Nasser and Kid Francescoli. Earning multiple platine and diamond certifications with « Diamond Veins », « Lovin’ Feeling » or « Hometown » his creative influence has also conquered new spaces: he composed the original soundtrack for Reda Kateb's film Sur un fil, scores campaigns for prestigious brands, and creates monumental events, whether it's the video mapping of Place Stanislas in Nancy or performing alongside Cerrone for New Year's Eve on the Champs-Élysées.
Now opening a radical new chapter, he is shaping a brand new musical universe fueled by adventure. Fleeing the frenzy of massive world tours, he relocated his studio to the extreme wild—from high-altitude Alpine peaks to the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Armed with a custom, suitcase-sized modular synth, French 79 reconnects with a primitive, analog approach. Blending these raw, visceral nature recordings with his signature emotional arpeggios, he continues his epic journey as a formidable live performer and master of universal electronic music.
