Schillah was born Nico Klinger in Gera (year of birth: 1997 or 1998). He is a German rapper, songwriter, producer, and DJ who, through his stage persona “Schillah Motherfuckah”—inspired by Friedrich Schiller—incorporates themes from his own life story—mental illness, a life of excess, and self-destruction—into his music. He began gaining recognition in his teenage years: He started writing at age 12, and by 13 he was participating in poetry slams and rap battles. In 2013, he founded the label MukkeMitHertz with friends, marking the start of his professional career. His breakthrough came with the single “Hoffnung”, which reached over 100,000 streams. Despite his success, he struggled with alcohol and drug problems—his schizophrenia became part of his artistic identity. In 2022, he founded the label EastsideBoyz together with StuBeatZ, through which he released several albums. His albums reflect his evolving personality: Wochenende (2019), Mukke aus’m Garten (2020), Todes Tape (2021), Pussytive (2022), F**k the World (2023, featuring ArniTheSavage), Schizophren in Paris (2024, featuring ArniTheSavage), and F**k the World 2 (2025, also featuring ArniTheSavage). Musically, he blends rap with Hardtekk—a hard, techno-inspired sound. His singles include, among others, “Augenringe”, “Das Letzte ist der Absturz”, “Familie”, and “Alles was wir leben”. In September 2025, he released the single “Schmerzen aus Verzweiflung” (feat. ArniMakeItDrop). In mid-July 2026, he followed up with another studio album, Jasmin. With this release, the rapper climbed to No. 3 on the German charts.
