Kimaera, a Lebanese death metal band formed in 2000, was founded by Jean-Pierre Haddad. The group's music blended oriental metal, doom metal, and death metal influences with gothic undertones. In 2004, Kimaera released their first single, "God's Wrath", which garnered attention from Stygian Crypt Productions. This led to the release of their debut album Ebony Veiled in 2006. The band continued with Solitary Impact in 2010, featuring the music video for "The Taste of Treason". In 2013, they released The Harbinger of Doom under Eternal Sound Records. Their album, Imperivm, was released in 2022 following Haddad’s death from a natural gas leak in February 2022. The band is recognized as one of the first international metal acts from the Middle East and is known locally as the "Lebanese Ambassadors of Doom."
