Lemon Bucket Orkestra, a Canadian Balkan-Klezmer-Gypsy-punk band based in Toronto, was formed in 2010 by founding members Mark Marczyk and Michael Louis Johnson. The ensemble's early history began when Marczyk joined Worldly Savages, a Gypsy-punk band, on fiddle after returning to Toronto from Kyiv, Ukraine. By 2013, the group had grown to 17 members. The band gained international attention in 2012 for impromptu concerts on delayed Air Canada flights during a tour of Romania. Their first full-length album, Lume, Lume, was released that year and featured collaborations with Romanian brass ensemble Fanfare Ciocărlia. Lemon Bucket Orkestra won the Canadian Folk Music Awards World Group of the Year in 2015 and were nominated for the Juno Awards World Music Album of the Year in 2016.
