Francesco Lupica, born in California, United States of America, is an American drummer, percussionist, and composer. He began his career playing with various bands, including The Sound Machine, West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, Travel Agency, Shanti, and the Steven Seagal Band. In 1976, Lupica released his debut solo album Cosmic Beam Experience. His work expanded into film scoring, composing for notable projects such as Terrence Malick's The Thin Red Line, The New World, Tree of Life (winner of The Palm d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival 2011), and Martin Scorsese’s Silence. Lupica is recognized for pioneering the Cosmic Beam Experience, integrating it into live performances and film scores.
