Dadi Mukuba, professionally known as Jack Dope, was born in 1993 in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and later resided in Rwanda and Uganda before settling in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2015.
His epithet 'Jack' was inspired by his dance prowess, influenced by the iconic Michael Jackson, while 'Dope' became associated with him in 2010 due to his notable achievements in the fashion and modeling industry.
In 2007, Jack Dope embarked on his musical journey, initially as part of a duo with his brother, Frank Mukuba. After his brother's departure from music in 2011, Jack Dope took a brief hiatus to redefine his musical style. This led to the creation of the innovative 'F.L.A.D style,' aimed at elevating Ugandan music on the global stage.
Jack Dope's artistic approach is characterized by his multilingual abilities, seamlessly blending Luganda with diverse musical genres, offering a unique perspective on Luganda music and solidifying his distinctive musical identity.
