Lionel Limiñana is a French musician from Perpignan. He is the founder of The Limiñanas, with Marie Limiñana. Very active musician and composer, he is also cofounder of L'Epée, the band composed of the singer and actress Emmanuelle Seigner, theAmerican musician Anton Newcombe (The Brian Jonestown Massacre), and the Limiñanas.
Created in 2009 The Limiñanas have released 7 albums, their latest studio album "Shadow people" was released in 2017. It received critical success and was selected the same year by Chanel as the soundtrack of their defilé at Le Grand Palais, for one of the latest collections designed by Karl Lagarfeld.
In 2019, as a producer, he produced the Wampas' album "Sauvre le monde".That same year, Lionel Limiñana composed the original soundtrack of "Le Bel Eté" , the movie directed by Pierre Creton. On this album, Lionel invited the french singer EtienneDaho to sing on the single "One Blood Circle".
In 2020, he did it again by composing and recording, this time with David Menke, the soundtrack of the film, directed by Olivier Megaton, "The last Days of American crime".In addition to his work as a musician and producer, Lionel Limiñana hosts every Saturday from 6pm to 7PM on Rock&Folk radio the show 'Migas 2000', where he delivers new mixtapes every week including musical extracts, films or documentaries.
