Chron Gen, a British punk rock band formed in 1978 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England, initially consisted of Glynn "Baxter" Barber (vocals/guitar), Jon 'JJ' Johnson (drums), Adam Warwicker (bass), and Jon Thurlow (rhythm guitar). The group released their debut EP Puppets of War in 1981, which spent nearly ten months on the UK Independent Chart, peaking at number 4. Their debut album, Chronic Generation, was released in March 1982 and reached number 53 on the UK Albums Chart. Following a series of lineup changes, Chron Gen disbanded in October 1984 after releasing their final EP Nowhere to Run. The band has since reformed periodically for live performances, including at the Rebellion Festival in 2013, and released new material such as the album This Is The Age in 2016.
