Graveyard is a Spanish death metal band from Barcelona established in 2007. The ensemble was founded by guitarist and bassist Bastard, vocalist and guitarist Julkarn, and drummer Gusi. Their recording career began with the debut demo recording Into the Mausoleum (2007). Graveyard reached wider visibility after signing with the label Black Seed Productions and releasing the eponymous extended play Into the Mausoleum (2007), which featured versions of the song “Zombie Ritual” originally by the band Death and the song “Cenotaph” originally by the band Bolt Thrower. The ensemble subsequently released the debut studio recording One with the Dead (2009). The work reached professional recognition for a musical style reminiscent of Swedish death metal musicians including Grave and Dismember. Their discography included the extended play The Altar of Sculpted Skulls (2011) and the studio recording The Sea Grave (2013) through the label War Anthem Records. Graveyard has performed international tours of Europe and appeared at festivals including Barroselas Metalfest. The ensemble has released split recordings with musicians including Terrorist, Deathevokation, and Nominon. Guitarist Mark Wild joined the ensemble in 2012 following the departure of guitarist SBE. Fiar joined the group as a live vocalist in 2012.
