Orchéstre Baka Gbiné are Baka musicians from the Cameroon-Congo border, deep in the rainforest.
Using guitars, percussion, voices and dance they play modern songs heavily influenced by both their traditional music and the Congolese music they hear on the radio.
In 2004 and 2005 Martin Cradick of Baka Beyond set up a studio in the rainforest and recorded the album, Gati Bongo.
Since this first album Orchéstre Baka Gbiné have toured in Europe and have made several appearances on Cameroon television - the only all Baka band to have done so. In 2012 they released a second album, Kopolo and have done several tours around other Baka villages in Cameroon. Called "Forest Voices Tours" these concerts bring the Baka together and spread news and information.
Recently they have released more singles and will continue to do so.
