The Payments Bio
The Payments are Clayton Bentley on guitar and lead vocal, twin brother Cameron Bentley on bass and vocals, Carl Jordan from The Western States Motel on lead guitar. Carl and the Bentley brothers were also in Nascar Poets/The Working Poor with their other song writing contributor and childhood friend Eli Hammond. Tony Anthos is on drums, replacing original drummer Keith Warren who was stricken with the debilitating disease MS. The Los Angeles based band is set to release its debut album entitled Past Due, Oct 21st, 2020. It was recorded in a tiny house out in the middle of the Twenty-Nine Palms desert. Clayton Bentley, who has a BFA in studio art from UC Santa Cruz, says the album turned out to be an endurance self-exploitation performance that spanned over 16 years from beginning to end, it almost became shelved work forever.
