Peter Hellemann is a composer, piano player, and musical director from Copenhagen, Denmark.
His well-regarded work ranges from the epic drama of big theatrical shows to the more intimate underscoring for film and TV. Most recently, he has carved out time with his old Steinway grand piano to create new, original piano pieces. The style is minimalistic and melodic, always with a Scandinavian undertone. Inspiration comes from everyday life, the presence of a newborn child, the spring rain tapping on the window sill, or simply listening to a single note lingering in the air of his studio. Though the music is without words, the songs tell their own stories.
